In cooperation with the Swedish Association of French Teachers and the French department of Stockholom University, the French writer Katrina Kalda who is of Estonian origin, and her translator Anti Saar, visit Sweden. She published a novel titled "Un roman estonien".
The European Day of Languages is celebrated on 26 September. Its aim is to draw attention to all languages spoken in Europe, both big and small, and dialects.

The Finnish Institute's comics exhibition "FINEST" introduces the vision of ten Estonian and ten Finnish artists of the topic "24 Hours". The exhibition is supplemented by the anthology "Call It a Day".
The photographic exhibition "Countdown of Days" shows events in 2010 within the framework of "52 surprises and ideas", organised by the Foundation Tallinn 2011. The diverse weekly events counted days until the year 2011 when Tallinn and Turku became European culture capitals.
The aim of the Baltic Sea festival is to connect the countries of the region and raise environmental problems related to the Baltic Sea, by means of culture and high-level classical music.
The exhibition titled "The Classics" was compiled by the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. It reflects the life and work of three prominent Estonian composers: Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis and Eino Tamberg.
